Emergency 2014 collects all of the content from Emergency 2013 as well as Emergency 2012 DELUXE and adds a whole load of new vehicles and missions on top.

The emergency services all over the globe are full of brave people fighting incredible odds to save innocent lives on a day to day basis. It's hard not to be admirable of these people and it's harder not to be fascinated by some of the devastating scenarios they end up in. It takes skill, courage and determination on a daily basis to do the work they do and this game tries it's best to emulate what it would be like to control the emergency services when faced with disaster.

If you are a fan of the Emergency series then a lot of this content may be familiar to you. What Emergency 2014 does is collect up the previous two years content in one bundle and adds a whole new set of scenarios based on a devastating meteor strike and it's impact around the globe.

Graphically the game has never looked better and emergency services from around the world are lovingly brought to life in crisp 3D in beautifully detailed and dangerous environments. If you're an emergency services buff then you will get a real kick out the level of details that's gone in to each and every car, truck, helicopter and more. The locations are all wonderfully varied and have the same level of attention to detail applied to them.

The gameplay is where Emergency 2014 stumbles a bit. If you know the series well or if you're a new comer willing to put in a lot of time then there's definitely fun to be had here. It has to be said though that the UI is incredibly unintuitive and the game really doesn't do a good enough job of tutorialising the multitude of elements that make up the campaign. As we've said though, with a bit of perseverance there is a lot of fun to be had here and if you're a buff for this stuff then you'll love the level of complexity that comes from each unique level.
